Preliminaries is the first section of a book and is usually the smallest section in terms of pages.
Book design is the art of incorporating the content, style, format, design, and sequence of the various components of a book into a coherent whole. In the words of Jan Tschichold, "methods and rules upon which it is impossible to improve, have been developed over centuries. To produce perfect books, these rules have to be brought back to life and applied."
Front matter, or preliminaries, is the first section of a book and is usually the smallest section in terms of the number of pages. Each page is counted, but no folio or page number is expressed or printed, on either display pages or blank pages.

However, it is important to point out that the text was simply lifted from an original piece written by Jack Kerouac (and certainly not created for Apple). Music was composed by Chip Jenkins for Elias Arts.

I think if you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what’s next.

«Вся́кая вся́чина»
В 1769–1770 гг. выходил первый русский сатирический журнал «Вся́кая вся́чина», фактически его редактором была императрица Екатерина II. Изображение обложки с портретом Екатерины II.
С мая 1769 по апрель 1770 года журналистом и писателем Николаем Ивановичем Новиковым (1744–1818) издавался русский литературно-художественный еженедельный сатирический журнал «Тру́тень» (трутень— лентяй, дармоед, бездельный шатун, прихлебатель, живущий без дела, либо за чужой счёт. В.И.Даль). Выступал за действенную «сатиру на лица», из-за чего вступил в полемику со «Всякой Всячиной», которая проповедовала «сатиру на пороки». Попытка продолжить сатирическую линию в журнале «Пустомеля» прервалась на втором номере. В 1772–1773 гг. издавал сатирический журнал «Живописец», признанный лучшим периодическим изданием XVIII века. Также выпускал первый русский журнал с критико-библиографическим содержанием «Санкт-Петербургские учёные ведомости»; первый в России философский журнал «Утренний свет»; первый отечественный женский журнал «Модное ежемесячное издание, или Библиотека для дамского туалета».
